Dolphins win 1st Preseason game 10-7

The Miami Dolphins beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 10-7 win.

It was slip and slide for sure!

This game did not show the Dolphins offense in the best of light. Their star receiver Brandon Marshall dropped 2 passes, causing fans to boo. Let's not get carried away here. These were wet conditions and we all know Brandon Marshall is much better than that! So, just push that thought out of your head that Brandon is going to be a bust. Just give it time.

I think the biggest thing all us Dolphans should take away from this game is how our defense played. We played great! What I took away from that game is how much better our defense looked under new defensive coordinator, Mike Nolan. We made a goal line stand, we caused 7 fumbles and won 3 of them, we saw new players making big impact. All of these parts of the defense show an improvement. We stopped the Bucs on 4th down near the goal line, we turned the ball over through 3 fumbles and Interceptions, and we saw some rookies stepping up (Nate Ness). Very productive.

So look at the game as a real improvement on defense. I am sure Karlos Dansby will help throughout the season.

Now look forward to the next preseason game this Sunday. I'll be watching!
